ORPHAN ROADS

When a developer fails to turn constructed roads over to NCDOT, they become “orphan roads”. There is no legal entity responsible for the maintenance of the road. NCDOT GIS mapping system classifies Rocky Ridge as a private road community.

We had several developers and builders:  

Squires Enterprises, Inc. -Developer President James Ralph Squires -died Sept 8, 2010. fyi. James Squires' 2002 income tax return showed he had an income of $1,933,013.00, per his divorce papers case No.COA05-938

Samuel Gil Squires (son) became President and then moved onto Lennar Homes.
